We use your information to provide and operate the service, monitor the vehicles you register, send status notifications, bill for usage, provide support, and improve reliability and security.

3. Public vehicle data

VahanOS works only with information that is publicly available and never modifies any source records. We preserve each check as an immutable record so you can see the status we reported on any day.

We are designed to minimise personal data. We limit the vehicle data we retain to the status information our customers need to run their business, and we do not sell data.

4. Sharing

We do not sell your data. We share it only with service providers who help us run the platform (such as cloud hosting and form processing), under appropriate confidentiality and data-protection terms, and where required by law.

5. Data location and security

Your data is hosted on enterprise-grade cloud infrastructure in India. We take automated backups and apply access controls. Our access to public sources is read-only.

6. Retention

We retain account and monitoring data for as long as your account is active and as needed to meet legal, audit and contractual obligations. Monitoring check records are kept as an immutable audit trail.

7. Your rights

We handle personal data in line with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, subject to our legal and contractual obligations. Contact us to make a request.

8. Cookies

Our marketing site uses only the cookies needed to run it. We do not use advertising trackers.

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to account owners.
